Notifications Are Back!

Notifications Are Back!

Thanks to our friends at Subsquid building us a new custom blockchain indexer, we have been able to add notifications back to our web app!

As a much needed feature for any social network, we’re very excited to have notifications again. Now, you will be able to see every interaction with your posts, comments, and spaces. You can find the notification icon in the top right corner, right next to the energy icon. A red dot may appear, indicating you have unread notifications.

We are also working on implementing an email feature for notifications, so you can be notified more easily, even on your mobile device. An announcement will be made when this feature is added.

Over 1200 posts have been made so far in Q3, but only 80 comments. We think this difference was primarily caused by a lack of notifications, which has really hampered back-and-forth engagement, and we expect this to improve greatly through Q4.

About Subsocial

Subsocial is a social networking platform built to support the social networks of the future. These apps will feature built-in monetization methods and censorship resistance, where users will own their content and social graphs. Built with Substrate pallets, Subsocial is a one-of-a-kind in the Dotsama ecosystem, and designed specifically for social interactions. These interactions do not have to be specifically social networking, as Subsocial can support apps like YouTube, Shopify, or even Airbnb.
